Oh, bum. I forgot to say I put the photos from Sunday the 29th on my Flickr, but they're a bit gloomy, so I didn't press them into your mitts.
I'll be bringing the camera on Sunday, unless the weather's still guff.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!

Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Just sent you a pm about the very same thing! See you on sunday.
Allegedly the weather will be nice tomorrow. Would be tempted if the ride was tagalong friendly, as No.1 son and I are in Porty on Saturdays anyway...
Crowriver - you'll be welcome to come along - we're not sure how many people will turn up (if any!) so not sure what the pace'll be like, but can't see it being any more than 12mph, so if you're up for it then we'll see you there. If you can't make it along, plans are afoot for a first family ride on the 2nd of June. Cheers, Patrick
Sounds like the family ride is more the kind of thing I was thinking about for myself and No.1 son. Alas I'm on an Audax up in Angus 2nd June.
Went on the Porto-velo social ride today. Chapeau to Andrew who did the ride on a single speed. I had 24 gears and really toiled.
Nice ride today despite the strong breeze. We went via Humbie to Soutra then over to Heriot and over the Granites. On the way back I put in an extra loop via Gladhouse - the wind was getting really strong by then.
I must admit I woke up, looked at the dancing trees and wimped out. Rain and cold I can take en passant but serious headwinds just take my fun away.

Thanks Tom. I regretted having the singlespeed a couple of times on the way around and was begging for an extra gear or two. I had got muddled, thinking it was going to be the family ride and wanted to check if it was suitable for dragging my daughter(s)along to. I hadn't planned on going along. But I enjoyed it, although I could have done without the headwind on the way back. Good to meet you.
Andrew.
