Strava will probably go into meltdown once the end of the year approaches.

There is also an American, Kurt Searvogel, who's having a shot at the record. He started on Saturday 11th with a rando ride in Florida. RAAM 2015 will count for a few thousand miles in the record attempt.

Apparently he has a carbon fibre recumbent bike on standby for when he's had enough of uprights!

If averaged over the year then yes, but (certainly was the case when he tweeted a few days ago) he's actually ahead of where Godwin was at the same time. Longer days in the summer will make for longer rides - his site actually has a breakdown of where it ramps up, and where it starts to tail off again. Almost military precision in the planning of this by the looks of it.

    NEWSFLASH:

After nearly 17000 miles through the depths of winter Steve has been hit collided with a moped and despite trying to carry on is now in plaster with 2 broken bones in his ankle.

May need further operation to put in plate and screws.

    Such a shame...

Can't quiet get my head round this but Steve has been back on the road the last couple of weeks doing 100miles a day on a recumbent trike one legged!! His other foot is still in plaster and being supported.
