Angus Mountain Bikers Have Strength In Numbers

Angus Mountain Bike Trails Association (AMBTA) is hosting a film night on Friday 11 May 2012 at the Hannah Maclure Centre, Abertay University, Bell Street, Dundee at 7pm.  The night promises to be verey entertaining for both mountain bikers and non cyclists alike with the premiere of the new big budget Mountain Bike film 'Strength in Numbers' by Anthill Films followed by 'Find', a  new film by Reset Films.

Strength in Numbers is an action sports film that explores mountain bike culture through the experiences of the world's best riders. Anthill Films, in co-production with Red Bull Media House, have created a film which will change the way the world sees mountain biking, both on and off the screen.

The film combines progressive action and beautiful cinematography with compelling stories to show how the many different sides of mountain biking are all connected. The filmmakers, who brought you 'The Collective', 'Roam', 'Seasons' and 'Follow Me', travelled the globe to find communities that represented the many sides of the sport, with film shoots in British Columbia, Nepal, Scotland, Austria, Switzerland, California, Utah and the Whistler Mountain Bike Park. For the crew and riders, Strength in Numbers represents a way to give back and progress the sport.

FIND is the latest film from Scotland;s Reset Films and inspires riders to just grab a bike and head out on the trails!  It is a journey of discovery with some of the world's most passionate riders in some of the world's finest locations. Find is a British film that takes you through the highs and lows of physical endeavour with a vast backdrop of stunning locations. It's a film that opens your eyes to the world of mountain biking in all its forms.

Doors open at the Hannah Maclure Centre, Abertay University, Bell Street, Dundee at 7pm.

Tickets and further information can be found at www.ambta.info and on the group's Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/theambta

All proceeds on the night will go to AMBTA to help in their continued work in the Angus region. This  film night follows another premiere screening AMBTA ran in January 2012 which successfully raised nearly £700 for the charity.
