Left work at 5.50 this evening. Jacket in carradice, only one (merino) base layer. First time since last august with only one layer, still sweating at top of Ashley terrace.

    Lovely weather.

Now in garden with a beer. Perfect

And this is the week I have to attend a microbiology course in the Gaelic school.

Ten people in a wee class room, all of us using Bunsens and wearing lab coats. Not allowed to open the windows or have a fan as that moves the air around.

Shorts, sandals and a lab coat gives an unusual look.

Note to 'new' cyclists - it's all about layers - and when to take them off so you don't get hot and sweaty!

What's happended to the weather? I left for Paris last Friday and it was cool and miserable. Then Floods in France and I return to gorgeous weather here. Very welcome though (even though more lawn mowing will be required).

Lots of cyclists out today (as well as lots of motorists)

May or may not be the Climate Change we were promised/warned about.

What's it show for the weekend, chdot? A friend was showing me the forecast on his iPhone - it's currently claiming 32 degrees. We don't believe it.

When I walked my son to school this morning it definitely had a feeling of being a hot day to day. Proper hot.

Fantastic! Glad we sent him in shorts.

"Glad we sent him in shorts. "

That's a bit cruel (according to my childhood memories #scarred4life).

16 deg C at the KB weather station - in many countries that would be classed as cool. Funny how 16 deg *feels* warmer in Scotland than if you are abroad.

Spent yesterday enjoying the warmth of the sun whilst washing my bike. Deliah no longer sports flowers as they reacted weirdly to the muc-off stuff I was using - went a very peculiar shade.

Hope the warmth today is a sign that summer may have arrived?

Scorcher of a morning. Over dressed and suffered as a result.

People were wearing more than one layer this morning?
I passed a few this morning who were still clinging to their zipped-up yellow anoraks but were presumably all also wearing some sort of refrigerating apparata beneath them, as their faces weren't even slightly sweaty.
