Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I've passed a few posters on the Hawthornvale Path while heading to/from work about this event, taking place on Sunday:

Granted, it's probably much too simple for most of you lot, but my sister and daughter and novice cyclists and would benefit from such an event, so I figured others might have friends and relatives in the same boat who might want to give it a try.
If you do go along to it, and you see a guy getting frustrated by the slow pace of a 42 year old woman and 12 year old girl on mountain bikes, that'll probably be me.
