You've got a major advantage in that you're not one of those tedious mainstream sizes, so you get absurd bargains compared to us suckers in the 5'6 to 6'2" range.
Folders, however, are universal in size, so you'll be paying top dollar.

hmmm...but my sense is that there are fewer options in the small-frame options. certainly limited me last time i was buying a bike at EBC.
The good thing about it is that I can ride kids bikes!
If anyone sees a secondhand adult Islabike, let me know. I've been watching e-bay for a while, but no sightings.
Yarp, the bargains I'm thinking of are when they're needing to sell the previous year's stock, so by definition it's going to be limited.
I wouldn't be surprised to find that if I'd used the amount of time I've spent web trawling for such bargainous finds to work illegally at under minimum wage, I'd have far exceeded the saving on even the higher end bikes.

I find the process of searching for bargains throws up options that you may not have considered had you just wandered into, say, Evans with the credit card and gone "I'll have that shiny bike over there, thanks".

those sizes at either extreme go cheap
