"I didn't think we allowed such frippery norf of Princes St..."
You're not.
Must be another planning mistake.

well it still had the price tag on, and was later seen heading in that direction accompanied as it was by two cups of coffee and a bag of what might have been sandwiches, call it a "test" ride?
Dirty tyres though, tut tut tut.
My 4 year old wanted an orange bike for his birthday, if only I had a shrink ray...Posted 14 years ago # -
I spotted a google camera car today, turning right from Duddingston Park South onto Milton Road.

Cycling families today, father and son off clerk street, passenger enthusiastically signalling :) and a mum and clutch on independent bikes, the small ones were hard to see (night had just fallen) but wicked bit of scotch lighting on the adults coat had me wondering what I was overtaking!

I looked out the window today at the canal path and 'spotted' my 3 year old pootling along on her bike, chatting with the pedestrians she was overtaking. No sign of either of the responsible adults she'd gone off with sometime earlier. By the time I'd grabbed the phone and rung them, she was well out of sight, but they had appeared, a long ways behind.....QUITE funny.

"No sign of either of the responsible adults she'd gone off with"
Don't think you should let either of them out again...

Don't think you should let either of them out again...
certainly not without a responsible 3-year-old to watch over them

GPS tag them, tag them ALL

A reclined Arellcat gliding along on what i can only assume was a 3m+ invisible bed of energy.
Thinking about it i've seen you going to work loads of times before i got back on my bike.. That sounded much better in my head.

Steve, there might've been more energy if the battery for my deathray headlights hadn't tried to short-circuit itself yesterday! It took nearly a full charge this evening, but I'm not sure the problem isn't with one of the 10 connectors in what's probably best described as a wiring loom. Did I spot you as well? I only see regularly one or two cyclists on my usual commute.

I think someone has been messing with the power couplings in your tractor beam, arrelcatPosted 14 years ago # -
*dons brown cloak and vanishes into the darkness of the garage, muttering something about ohms and volts and those really nice Lumicycles she saw once*
Posted 14 years ago # -
Don't think you recognised me, though i must have been the first person you would have seen coming out your car park.
Just glad your deathray was inoperable, probably saved my vision till well next time....

now I have the hideously unfashionable blue flashing valve cap lights it is only a matter of time before I get spotted for the first time...

spotted
What looks like a Raleigh Chopper, but isn't (and isn't the marvellous Arrelcruiser)? Parked outside the Sainsbury's at the top of Morrison Street. Couldn't stop and admire as I had a green to chase down.
The closest I could find is a Schwinn Stingray
Front and rear wheels were of the same size, seat was slightly-chopperish, big chopper handlebars, the downtube and toptube were elegantly curving, although the downtube wasn't quite as goose-necked as the Schwinn and I don't recall the seat stays extending forward past the seat tube to meet the downtube . Fire-engine red coloured, looked pretty new.Posted 14 years ago # -

Think he was scratching/wiping his nose.
His progress was very cautious. Traffic doing about 8mph.

An intrepid rider going up Mound in slush at 1.45. On decent road bike. He effortlessly trackstanded for a whole phase of lights. Double points for style and law abiding.
A second 'wintry bike sighting' was on Princes Street - female on turquoise mountain bike.
I was on foot.

"SRD shouting from over her garden wall asking if I was Anth!"
If I was Admin on here I'd probably say that doesn't count as neither of you have bikes!!

Spoilsport! I think we should get bonus points for a non-bike spot. I actually thought it probably wasn't him owing to lack of bike.

"I think we should get bonus points for a non-bike spot."
You cannot be serious...
