A bicycle parked in front of the Brown's house, as well as one in the entry-hall, and wasn't that a Moulton being wheeled into a tube station? #paddington

On an early trip home from work on the towpath this afternoon (first time on the towpath in daylight for what feels like months) there were lots of children on bikes. Cutest of the bunch was a very smiley girl in a reflective waistcoat who I met at the end of the aqueduct. She was just getting back on the bike after Dad (I assume) had carried it across. No wonder she was smiley: it looked like she'd just got a purple Islabike for Christmas...

I'd like to see it, and everyone I know who has seen it enjoyed it, but that bear is NOT Paddington! The TV series had the real Paddington.

We tried to go to see it today but it was sold out. We used to listen to Stephen fry narrating the stories on car journeys. (Also alan Bennett doing Winnie the pooh). Now it is all Les miserables.

Be-bromptoned woman in a cerise(?) top making good progress north through Morningside at around 1030. She had many hallmarks of being Arellcat, but only seen from behind, from the pavement, and from some distance (after the little Greenroofers with me shouted 'Look Daddy, there's a lady on a Brompton'*) so could equally have been someone completely different.
*I'm starting them young...

It was a beautiful afternoon for walking through Dalmeny and there were many cyclists out, including what looked like some kind of outing (6 or so all together).
Main reason for this post was I saw two tandems. First one was a mother/daughter combo at the entrance to the Estate at Cramond Brig at about 2.45. Second was a man & woman in the same area around an hour later.
Anyone here? I was walking with my wife and two collies.

The Green / Lovejoy comet just before the clouds closed in. One shaky handheld photo, praying for clearer skies to get the tripod out.

Greenroofer, the cycle-fu is strong in your little ones.
I'm not sure what colour my windproof jacket is; cerise is close, although Polaris says it's 'rose', but it's perhaps closest to Fuchsia Rose (Pantone #18-1852), at least when it was new!

Spotted Wilmingtons cow taking his photies at Dig in at the Dog. Looking far warmer than I was after watching an hour long race dressed in my roady lycra.

Family bike coming down Leamington Terrace with two kiddie seats (one in front and one behind) as well as tailgater with 3rd child on board. Have seen it parked a few times, but never in motion.
The front seat not only has windscreen (forgotten the proper word!), but also what looks like an attached pair of snow trousers with feet to keep child snuggly warm.

Interesting group of cyclists by the Meadows Park this afternoon. A few competent-looking adults and a largish crowd of children, most of whom seemed to be on Islabikes. It seemed to be a social gathering, but the high density of Islabikes suggests that they all take their cycling seriously so I'm guessing that some of the adults will read this.

I got reverse-Spotted by Arellcat whilst disguised as a man out sprogletwrangling. Didn't see her in time to wave at the front of her head, but either hallucinated or saw that she was riding a device the long-wheelbase like of which I'd never seen.

Anyway, yes, I was attired as your eyes reported, Arellcat. I usually have my staff T-shirt on top of my civvie one at this time of year, so I admit I did get a little cold without it.

Glenallan Drive, about 17h40 yesterday, from about 100m away in the pitch black I saw a front light far too far in front of a rear light heading East.
I therefore conclude, my dear Watson, that I have spotted Roibeard.

A rickshaw driver flagging cyclists down on George Street looking for puncture help while it was snowing at about 8.30 this evening. We gave her a little box of stick-on patches and the next time we saw her she'd borrowed a fork and rustled up a track pump from somewhere too. Not a nice night for it.
