@chdot - that was one mental crossing of Lothian road tonight, despite me having green the peds on the east side and the west side were all crossing North South and South North, could have been carnage. My issue was indeed picking a line that avoided everyone

I made it along to Critical Mass on Friday at half five for the first time, although that turns out to be far too early. We got going sometime after 6pm, but didn't get anywhere near WoL as was speculated about by kaputnik. It was good fun though and I hope to join the mass again at some point.

It probably doesn't count since he wasn't on a bicycle, but Greenroofer kindly gave me his old Pedalites to try out and would not take the biscuits that I attempted to offer him in gratitude as I stopped by at his place on the way back from work today.

@jdanielp - my bike was nearby at the time, so it probably kind of counts.
I spotted Morningsider and mini-Morningsider this morning (both on bikes) when I was coming from one rubbish driving incident and heading to the next.

Wilmington's Bovid I think cycling up, London Road about 8PM?

Up in an ECML sense?

Up in the uphill sense. Down in an ECML sense. (Comma was a typo.)

Yep, that would've been me, revelling in a non-panniered, light bike. Off to my restarted Japanese drumming (the bike ride is an effective warm up and cool down for and from that - though seems odd riding home after work for something to eat, then heading back into town to virtually the same spot).

@daisydaisy waiting at the other side of the traffic lights on Cluny Gardens this afternoon. I looked enviously at her Helios from my unwieldy tagalong set up.

A trailer for The Program at the cinema. Whilst I don't know all that much about competitive cycling or Lance Armstrong, the film looks like it has been made well.

Very cool Popal bike heading east through Haymarket area this morning. Double top tube, porteur rack - really nice.
Also not-Roibeard adjusting a mudguard on his Pino at Balgreen tram stop. Saw him yesterday evening in the same place as well.
Loads of bikes out again today. The cold mornings aren't putting people off.

@Greenroofer,
Does your tagalong setup have 3 flags on it and goes to South Morningside PS Annex? If so, I was piloting the other tagalong setup yesterday which had the boy on it who got excited at seeing another one.
Posted 9 years ago # -
@condor2378 - yup, that was me. I'm not a very regular user of the tagalong, but when I use it it has three flags on (One from the very first POP Harrison Park Feeder Ride, one from this year and one original EBC yellow flag)

First ever SPOTTED.
Greenroofer, yesterday, with a tagalong!

Feeling inadequate with only having 2 flags on my tag-a-long...

No fencing around the new green area to the side of the Boroughmuir High School site next to the canal towpath, which means that east-bound cyclists can now avoid the speed humps which are inexplicably still there despite the removal of the metal chicane. I imagine that some west-bound cyclists will also attempt to do the same, almost certainly resulting in some level of chaos...

A lady on an absolutely stunning red Shand crossing at Balgreen this evening. I confess that I did stare. I was with my wife. She knows about my bicycle ogling.

At least four electric bikes this afternoon.

We are getting shown round the Shand workshop next week. If they did some kind of instalment plan I would buy one they are superb

Spotted an unusual aluminium Vitus road bike near shop today. Frame possibly held together with epoxy. Had a retro look with narrow tubing but featured Miche brakes and a compact double of unknown origin.

Hi Chdot, you must have been in that peleton yourself to get all the shots. I watched it go by near the Tesco Express on Causewayside - you can just spot me in one of your pics if you look closely enough :)
Lovely to see.

Yes, I saw the mum and kids splitting around it. I believe they were pretty much in the front of the group?
Go to the flickr page, zoom in on the black bin in the middle, look at the reflection of the traffic lights in the window, there is a chap standing there with a trilby and tweed jacket you can just make out. That's me.

That CEC vehicle is parked!
Quality...

All we need is Grissom asking some computer dude to zoom in and enhance. CSI Edinburgh.
