"Won't name as not sure if he was meant to be there"

No problem - I was just perfecting my enigmatic persona !!

As you astutely noted, I was just in for a swifty ahead of grabbing some provisions for the evening - wasnt really fussed about the football either, a quiet beer was the order of the day.

First time in a pub this year.

    Maybe next time...

We were on a mission to get to a good viewing point to see the space station. Which we did - just.

Could be a good week for seeing it with clear skies forecast.

I spotted some very swish Green Ortlieb panniers in the Cordura material. THe cyclist's outfit colour co-ordinated with the bags. Turns out they were an Xmas present. I then said, nice, somebody must really like you.

Kim test riding a Bosch assisted UA Dutch load bike . The box is huge but very light.
This one is on way to Sheffield. We're applying logo here.

Spotted Kim's bike earlier this evening, outside Edinburgh's premier supplier of cargo bikes, but no Kim (and no Laid Back either) was available for spotting.

Ohh, interesting... I wonder if there will be stock, or just order sight unseen?

Yes, saw that this morning - thanks for the tip!

Anyone going to see Chris Hadfield at the Usher Hall next week? I got some restricted view seats and I'm really looking forward to it.

@stickman No, but I got his CD for Christmas and am really enjoying it. I think we both grew up listening to Gordon Lightfoot.

Are the restricted view tickets the ones on the stage behind him?

I'm not sure - I think we're behind a pillar. Will check when I go home.

Wonder if he'll do a Bowie tribute? That would be cool.

ISS and HankChief (+ stokers) in Murrayfield area. Both well lit up and easy to spot. It was easy to tell them apart today as HC's rig only had first gear, so some disparity in their velocities.

Was passed on Seafield last night by someone with multi coloured wheel lights, 21st century glowing spokies. The wheels were lit up like an alien spaceship from Close Encounters, looked fantastic particularly as the street lights were out at the end of Porty Prom.

I spotted a chap who looked so much like Uberuce the other day on the Warriston path I had to take a really good look to convince myself it wasn't him. I'm calling him Twoberuce.

I used to spot this guy around Edinburgh that I thought looked like the actor Clive Owen. I was sitting next to him at a film guild movie in the film house maybe 15 years back and told him. He was cool with my view that he looked like Clive Owen.

Extracted a guffaw from him this morning on the towpath near boroughmuir with a simple Morning Clive

There are multiple incarnations? That had passed me by somehow!

I wonder if Twoberuce was the larger version of me that used to train in the Pleasance gym many years ago. He looked uncannyvalleyly like I would if I'd put on around four stone.

Glad to see the cycling's trimmed him down some; he wasn't at a healthy weight back then.

Is this Twoberuce possibly the same Überfalse that I saw waiting outside the Odeon on Morrison Street whilst waiting for the slightly smaller Uberuce outside the Odeon on Morrison Street last year?

Saw a bicycle built for 4 outside school this morning. A silver tandem with child seats on front and back. Was most impressed, Looking forward to seeing it in use.

That was us; I thought it might have been you guys but by the time I thought it you were well passed.

A nice run along the coast and bag, even if I did 38 of the 40 miles without being able to feel my toes (even with winter boots on)

A bloke wearing slip-on spikes on his shoes to push his bike along the icy path through Craigmillar Castle Park. I light-heartedly suggested he get spiked tyres as well as I blob-o-jogged past and he looked at me like I'd offered to sell him a child. Some bicyclists really are grim.

I encountered a couple on the aqueduct yesterday both pushing their bikes across. I could see the first cyclist was a little nervous so I stopped a good way from her and leaned on the railing. She indicated she would prefer that I overtake her so I dismounted and pushed around her and the chap. They then very earnestly told me not to cycle as it was not allowed. I felt they thought I was new to the area or some such. I suggested it was not worth arguing about and we went our separate ways

Was it Stickman I saw 'à pied' carrying 2 studded tyres on SJR?

Yes, was me. Eagle eyes to spot the studs! They are going to a home that can make use of them.
