@min: Don't worry, I know Graeme and we're talking about normalising cycling when I picked up POP leaflets from him last week.

His point last night was in jest that catching me would have easier if I wasn't going hell for leather.

I do find the straight, flatish bus lanes on the A8 does encourage me to ride faster than I would usually.

Good -oh. ;-) I didn't immediately realise that "Harts" and the man on the upright bike described were actually the same person which didn't help..

Some sort of huge Harley Davidson bike in Minto Street. Drivers would have to try really hard not to see it.

Wing pig on St Leonard's and Sarah boyack on Rankeillor - she made a point of saying how much she'd enjoyed the Spokes hustings.

@Chug doing a better job than me of trackstanding at the Colinton Road/Myreside Road lights this morning (it was this morning, wasn't it, and not yesterday? I'm beginning to lose track of time as I age)

A cheery wave from @gembo, stylishly attired as ever, on the towpath this evening. I was very late for getting home and was in a bit of a rush.

Saw a rather lovely forest green cargo bike at Tesco in Bruntsfield this afternoon. The racks were full as they are spaced far too close together, but at least it has some unlike my usual haunts for coming-home stop offs.

Wilmington's Cow, around 5:50pm, on the Kaffenback I presume, barrelling along London Road bus lane at Abbeyhill, heading towards Meadowbank.

Slight double-take from Gembo this morning as I was out of context by taking a different route to work today...

  14. @crowriver, that wasn't you ahead of me in the ASL at the fork with Montrose Terrace was it? I'd just been waving thanks to a First Bus driver behind who had driven with patience and consideration behind me, and it was freaking me out a little (I was also rushing home to help a friend moving into a new house, only for him to be late...)

No, I was on foot, travelling west, and spotted you heading towards me...

Anyone else see what seemed to be a recumbent cargo bike outside the used bike shop on Brougham St? For sale, I presume.

(I may have imagined the recumbent part; I was going past and there was someone else poking at it)

Wilmington, disguised in a car. I would have waved a hanky but I was driving too.

Wingpig, at the King's Theatre junction, yesterday evening, with a car between us. Also at the weekend on Leith Links.

A Burrows 8 Freight, parked in the sunshine outside Tesco in Dundee this lunch time. What a magnificent beastie it was too.

Shortly afterwards, two 'intrepid' MTBers in day-goo outfits riding down multiple flights of steps between Perth Road and Seabraes, also Dundee.

The sunny weather fair brings out the bikes!

  20. Whereabouts was that wingpig? I think my head may have exploded seeing you driving... ;)

Two Edinburgh boris bikes coming out of the Dalry colonies when I was at sweary jim's with the lad getting our Easter haircuts, from Michael who cuts your hair as you ask whereas Jim has slights better banter but cuts your hair how he fancies.

Of course we all know the difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut? (Two weeks)

Petronella Wyatt has gone for broke in the mail on Sunday ( I read it in the barbers). She spills the beans on Boris. In case anyone is in any doubt he is a complete see you next Tuesday)

Tandem out at Harperrig but it turned back and then Tom from fietsclub on my shoulder with his buddy Richard on a Croix de fer. So we did mud road 52 miles. Obviously Apple pie where we bumped into Roddy from fietsclub too.

A chap riding a bamboo framed road bike, on Marionville Road, around 3.15pm this afternoon. I admit I stopped to gawk at the frame, he stopped and looked at me as if to say "Do I know you?"

If it was you, sorry I was just curious about your frame!

Hats off to the chap I saw this morning on the NEPN, riding the fattest of fat bikes and wearing a kilt. What a legend.

I was spotted by someone this morning as I crossed the lights at Balgreen - not sure who it was.

@stockman. It was me that spotted you. I knew our morning commute coincided at some point. It was only a matter of time till I got you stopped. Apologies to all the other random cyclists to whom I have shouted "Stickman?"

I shouted back "yes!" and waved, no doubt to similar baffled looks! Will keep an eye out for you.
