A Specialized Rockhopper mountain bike inexplicably fitted with drop bars, tied up on George IV Bridge.

    Good one, chdot.

I spoke with JP not long ago: she was finding it pretty hard.

Wow. I think someone was attempting to home brew just that. Bar end shifters the lot. SPD pedals though.

2x @wingpig in 2x consecutive days on Leith Walk. I was to be seen struggling to clip in after only a week or so with these funny pedals.

Spotting CCEers at a Spokes meeting is probably cheating, but was that @Arellcat I saw cycling past the meeting on a recumbent?

If it was about half six, and two huge yellow panniers, that was me. I wasn't feeling very bright so was heading home instead of to the meeting.

Algo heading along Roseneath Street solo on his usual commute path around 7pm.

I see the shop formerly known as Laid Back Bikes is about to open again. Mother and baby stuff - they'll need some family bikes! The old sign is still blacked out and they've painted rest of shop grey. Good that it's in use again.

Thanks to Hankchief and DaveC, who each slowed to walking pace to accompany me on part of my journey home this evening.

Good luck to DaveC on the weekend...

Europa is below and just to the left of Jupiter; Io above to the right, then Ganymede, then Callisto.

I think the star to the left is Spica.

Yes, I saw that yesterday. Marchmont Rd / Kilgraston / Strathearn Rd junction. "Cyclists Dismount" on all 4 arms.

Is this a new trend in temporary traffic lights?

I am tempted to dismount and walk along the middle of the carriageway in front of a long line of following cars.

Went past that last week. Almost wish I'd paid heed, would've been far quicker walking the wee stretch than waiting for a green light.

EDIT: Who's doing the work? Council/contractor?
