Not content with a diet purely of stolen ebikes, a sur-ron bandit was spotted stealing an eight foot nutcracker statue from outside copper blossom on George St. [Facebook]

    The Kingsknowe Rat (dead).

Expired in the carpark of the Commonwealth Pool, possibly after enjoying a too-strenuous swim.

Two nearby magpies were preparing to eat the Rat for breakfast.

No gloves either, they breed them though in Preston

On way home lovely chat with @Morningsider who was going my way for a bit and fooled me with his you go. First you’ll be faster then drafted in behind to get out of the fierce bad wind/ Crafty

@gembo - I don't think you get any real drafting benefit on a Gazelle. Great bike, but it can feel like trying to cycle a billboard when the wind gets up.

Thought I spotted @bakky this evening while riding up towards Fairmilehead – Urban Arrow and everything – but when the rider did a shoulder check I realised it must be his doppelbäkkygänger.

An imposter! I shall alert the bakfietscouncil!

There’s a few up this way these days - which is nice and there could always be more.

Surely none as tall as you. Oh you mean the UAs. A certain Bike Charity person was talking nicely to me as they came up behind me the other evening. Then said Oh, it’s you. Where’s the pink etc. when they realised who it was

LIb DEM Councillor Sanne Dijkstra-Downie out in her Forth Ward on her bicycle bumping into Brian Temple who won silver medal on the track or maybe 10 mile scratch at the 1970 commonwealth games. Pro-cycling Lib Dem and yet when it comes to it …….?

New signpost on lang whang Cyclists for Next 3 Miles. There miles before the B7008 turn to west Calder. No photo as on a tight time back from Ayr. NW wind helps but not as much as SW. also the north west wind doth blow and we shall have snow, hailstones and all. Sunny intervals too. Gloves and hat on radiator at Sorn Cafe then in oven at Douglas Bakery and they third time at carnwath soaking but bright sun and no motors on yer closed stretch which was glorious

A high five with gembo this morning. Yes, I am still on strike. My brain took too long to process the speed of delivery of the question at the time so I just laughed.

Just remembered that I spotted somebody cycling with a surf board or paddle board attached to the side of their bike as I was cycling home along the towpath yesterday.

Spotted someone this afternoon riding a very posh black ICE Trikes VTX, along South Bridge and up Chambers St. I wondered if it was a Laid Back Bikes machine, but I didn't recognise the rider.

@Arellcat - yes is from LB. Local rider posts videos on Insta. Got disc wheel covers. Fairly aero thing.

I noticed the rear wheel cover straightaway, looked pretty good. I'd forgotten how low slung the VTX is.

VTX achieves the lowness other brands strive for! A trike with a flag near a golf course might confuse golfers though (!)
