A definite improvement - they said they'd listen to comments, and that appears to have held true. The sound was much improved (heid mics probably helped), Merckx was an utter gent and star, and each of the segments was more interesting than last week. Still to rapid, but they've only got the 30 minute slot (which, they've mentioned, equates to 22 minutes of programming), so things like the Nearly Naked Men was a bit rushed, and the segway into bike fitting felt ridiculously forced. Lady Velo wasn't at her best niterviewing those guys, but unscripted in the studio she did much better.
Editorial policy is definitely have someone mention wearing a helmet (Kemp last night - it's notable that in the opening credits even the Boris Biker is lidded). Cynically I think that might have something to do with ChainReaction being a main sponsor (notable that the Cycle Show were plugging ChainReaction's bike fit pages at the moment the 'get a proper bike fitting' piece was being broadcast - I'd expect there's a bit of that every week).
Also interested in Anna's piece in Edinburgh, be intrigued to see what's going on. I've got in touch, okay that's from a personal 'look at me!' point of view, but it would appear with Lady Velo having been on there that they're looking at using guest presenters, but also to try and find out what the challenge she's doing is, just in case it's something you can go to watch.
