@chdot: Thanks :) That would be a horrible situation! (I've already given them to him).

Seemed sensible to provide a PB as it's as close to a Boris bike as I can manage. One size fits all etc...
Just mentioned to Lionfish that for online Scotrail bike spaces East Coast is best. Like all TOCs they allow you to book with other operators. Unusually though they do have a bit on web for special requirements and there you can select bike spaces. Then collect genuine bike space tickets at fast ticket machines. No guarantee there will be space always but a great bargaining chip.Posted 12 years ago # -
LB the spaces seem to have been reduced, I think the ticket must be shown to get you in the caboose, however double booking may still happen even in an automatic system as you describe. Last time I had rubber bands and cable ties etc but the guard just wedged the bike's half of the tickets in the brake.
Lionfish - The Illusionist, the sylvan chomet silent cartoon set in Paris, Edinburgh, Oban, mull is n FOPP for a fiver at the moment, not quite as good as his earlier TdF TdF - Belleville Rendezvous but with plenty of local landmarks you can spot that have been beautifully drawn by hand.

@gembo: The Illusionist and Rendezvous Belleville were both excellent! We saw The Illusionist at the Film House (or Cameo?). Thanks for the idea! I might go and buy it :)
@LB: I hope you don't mind, but minimoth was drooling over the Paper Bike yesterday, so we swapped our two borrowed bikes, to let her cycle it down to her work in Leith this morning (she'll be cycling it back along the North Edinburgh cycle paths this evening).
