Watched it live in the barbers: everyone was cheering Froome and Wiggins on. What a great year for (sport) cycling in the UK and for Bradley Wiggins in particular!
I predict Sir Wiggo come the New Year...
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Seems to be raining here!
Well done, boys. Job done.
I feel sorry for Cancellera though.
Hopefully this means we get a bit more respect on the roads (#Iamabeliever)
I think I'm on an adrenaline come-down after watching that. Just fantastic.
"Two medals at once must be pretty rare from GB?
Nah, we got 8 in one go in the rowing earlier on.
The end and afterwards (1min31secs)

Olympic cycling: Watch Bradley Wiggins win time trial gold

'nuff said.
Well done to both.
Is it just me that was looking at the smooth and lovely road surface in stunned disbelief? Did they re-surface it specifically for the time trials or are "all" London roads like that?
"Did they re-surface it specifically for the time trials"
Probably
"or are "all" London roads like that?"
No, but quite a few are - and a lot fewer badly filled in trenches.
London's roads are several orders of magnitude better than embruh's.

The most decorated British Olympian now has a #GoldMedalStamp! Well done Wiggins. Your stamp will be on sale tomorrow

Is the Queen not looking wrong way? Don't think she should be looking at Mr Wiggin's bottom?

The Hoy effect lasted about two weeks iirc.
ooh. if anyone gets a spare stamp, i'd love one :)
I was there! Out on the roads near Esher, watching. Didn't have much of a clue what was going on, mind you, though access to a start list helped. We got back to a big screen in time to see Wiggins finish and see the result and medal ceremony. Great atmosphere.
London roads have been kept tidy for the Olympics. Also weather much kinder than ours so not so much frost damage. When the roads were closed two Saturdays ago it was a joy to cycle on them, even when they re-opened traffic was very light
