Doesn't seem to be a current proposal for next meet.

    Or alternative venue.

Any Festival/Fringe-only venues open early enough?

There is a new coffee shop in Currie on the A70 next to the sports injury/physio. I will check if open this morning as off early. Obviously, it would involve most people going massively out of their way

If we go for festival fringe breakfast can we heckle? This coffee is lukewarm etc. I was heckling a young guy on the free stage outside the cathedral on Friday (spotted the ruggtomcat wheels of fire perked inside the city chambers, oldest bike rail in Edinburgh?)

He was playing guitar on his lap, interesting technique. At end of one song he shouts Dad, don't leave my show at a member of the audience. I shout back He's not your real dad, your real dad wouldn't leave your show. His mum then says That's true......

Oops I mean PY of course. No messing about or changing the date or venue. Tea and a cinnamon bun.

Currie works for me. It's PY that's massively out of my way!

alas it was shut at 8.15 this morning. If heading out of Edinburgh it is on the right hand side of the main road A70, Lanark road West if you want to know, a little after the turning down to Currie High. called The Coffee Mill part of building that has the physio and Halliday's the builder/ electrician's yard

I can detour to PY this Friday probably just after 8

Okay so complete confusion now - possibly just down to sleep deprivation - so where is this happening? Is it PY or Currie?

Won't be there 2mo :-( having to slum it in the car due to a required detour to check on my lock up that some lowlife scum apparently tried to break into.

@nearefare - PY has been 'roughly monthly'

Though today quite a few 'regulars' couldn't make it.

Perhaps some would go next week - if you promise to be there...

Failed, completely forgot and got up at the usual time. I'm tired anyway from a week in the saddle and I have a very late night tonight helping on an info point on the Schihallion Sunrise from middnight to 4pm so I need all the sleep I can get today. zzzzz That my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

    Nice to see the CCE'rs.

Kaputnik was looking at the Ronde Rapha group with great interest. Think the glamour was a distraction. We could have a defector(!)

I missed Min.... only her teapot remained!

Also think that PY's red cups are smaller than than ones they had before.... I now take SRDs tip and drink the £2.10 filter with £1 top up. I know it's not as luxurious but need to conserve funds for Pastures beside shop.

Personally think their filter tastes better than their espresso-based Americano

    "I assume it's Peters Yard"

Aye PY is about simplicity not exclusivity.

Someone will be along 'soon' posting another proposed date (or venue!)
