Following on from 'which folder to buy' thread there is a proposal for Friday.

(You don't have to bring a folder)

We've not been to Zazou for ages, and in my Humbledore, the confines of the cabin will make for a better photo op if it's neatly full of folders.

    Which Friday?
Haven't tried the commute yet on the ex-Crowriver folder I share with my mum.

I'm afraid I don't have anything apart from "man size" bikes

I have a frame that I'm fairly sure may collapse at any second. Does this technically qualify it as a folder? (I'm a little scared to ride it though - a bike shop friend of mine told me "this bike will kill you" but I think he was being melodramatic)

Wear your POP T-shirt, Kappers. Pretty sure the folderati will forgive your 700c wheels on grounds of free panda-based publicity for their deftly engineered devices.

Part selfish, part precedent: Can we make it any day but Friday? Edinburgh's school closing times preclude me from Pyeeting on a normal Friday, and while they may or may not fuzzle up other people's schedules, I did note that last Thursday's PY had a pretty big turnout.

I therefore suggestionise Zazou on Thursday 7.30am, but if Steve is overly busy with the new boat and can't open early for us: PY?

Ho. In a normal school week, Friday's about the only day I've even a remote chance of making PY (let alone Zazou) before everyone's cleared off :-\

And that's before WURK has had a chance to interfere with MEATINZ (which probably explains my normal non-attendance). Carry on ... :)

Thursday 31 at Zazou would be just Dandy for me.

I should be ok for Thursday 31st, not convinced we'll get many bikes inside zazou, but they could still be pretty eyecatching outside :-)

I've enquired to Mr.Z, and assuming he's willing to have the aforementioned greasy objects inside the barge, we'll have said photos. Also need to ask him about taking the bikes in, badumtsch.

"Also need to ask him about taking the bikes in"

    Surely not -

    A) enough people with locks

    B) people will be testing them

    C) not easy to get into boat

    D) not much room

Ah, but shurely the point of folders is that they solve A, C and D with their cunning collapses?

Anyway, I just spoke to Mr Z and he's got 7.30am on the 30th in his diary, and looks forward to seeing wee clever things yoga'd up beside Sally.

    Statutory reminder -

    For newcomers (ALL welcome) -

"Normally from 7.30 to 8.30 for most folk."

Some people hang on past nine.

I'll probably be on SRD's folder, but if anyone fancies a shot at riding fixed 74" in the safety of Harrison Park's paths, I can nip round the corner to mine and get wee blue floofy.

I won't be able to join you this time - please don't take that as a folder or Zazou slight! I'm on child wrangling duties this Thursday morning...

If Greenroofer is coming, and no one else is going to be bringing a Brompton, then I can pop along briefly. I probably wouldn't have time to stay for coffee, though.

I should be able to bring a Brommie subject to being allowed a late start :-)

@fimm. Given that this whole thing seems to have started because of a question I asked, then I am morally obliged to come. PY would have been out of the question (totally the wrong direction), but because it's Zazou and on my way to work, then I'll be there.

(However, I don't think your or anyone should feel they have to come just to bring a Brompton)

@Greenroofer given that (as you say on the other thread) you've been to BikeTrax, you'll have seen enough of Bromptons to know that they are very fine pieces of kit. In a way it is therefore more useful to you to see other folders. If, however, you would like to see a Brompton that has been used in anger, do say - though it does sound like Smudge will be able to bring his.

"because it's Zazou and on my way to work"

Perversely this Thursday is one of the few days I need to be close to PY just after 9:00!

For those not following Zazou's tweeteringnetwebstreamickrumblr: still all go for a 7.30am kickoff at the barge.

When I was a lad I ate four dozen eggs,
Every morning to help me get large.
Now that I'm grown I eat five dozen eggs,
So I'm roughly the size of a baaaaaarge.

    Although really it's a narrowboat.
