Oh yes, that "waterproof" is a Halfords special. It keeps your body heat in better than non-waterproof...

Well I waited at work for it to pass, but I gave up! Got drenched 5mins out of work, near Russell Road and even more of a drenching around the Edinburgh North Path.
Typically as soon as I got to the shore, 5 mins from home.. it stopped.
Oh and Hello, New member here :-)

Are you suggesting that if you get wet it's your own fault?
If we were all living in North Africa then it's fair enough to be surprised by a proper drenching. This is Scotland though, so yes it's your own darned fault! ;-)

I had the pleasure of driving to inverness for a meeting yesterday evening (I'm a sucker for horrible hours as I run my own company) so I got the joys of driving the A9 in alternating glorious sunshine and horrible showers. We got a bit of the lovely views up north but in general it was torrential rain or drizzle. Then on the way back it was fog and full beaming headlights once again reminding me that drivers really are lost in their own little tiny cocoon of "me against them". Good to see not a single lorry driver or professional driver forgot to dim their headlights though!
Hope everyone dried out ok!
