Many years ago I went on an 'about fundraising' course.
The only thing I remember was the revelation (to me at least) that most trusts are 'obliged' to give money away every year. Obvious really - most of the money comes from interest on investments, so presumably less cash available in recent years.
Just remembered another 'tip' - if you are interested in old buildings (for instance) probably wasting your time applying to animal charities.
