Had an interesting 'moment' riding into work this morning. Travelling west from Waterloo Place, was in the right hand lane to turn right into South St Davids Street from the newly opened part of Princes St and was acutely aware of the tram lines I was riding inbetween.
Took a reasonably wide line to 'cross' the tram lines as I was turning right thus preventing my tyre from jamming. As my rear wheel crossed the first line suddenly felt it slide away from under me and only just managed to keep it together and on two wheels!
Not sure if this occurs anywhere else along Princes St, but was a new issue for me to be aware of!
