Just jumping into this thread, I remembered these comments and they gave me the confidence to keep cycling up until the last day of my pregnancy.

Nowhere terribly exciting - just to Blackford or Marchmont, but it remained much less effort than walking.

    That's good.

Just looked at one of the links on the previous page -

I continued to climb right up until ten days before the birth

Mrs Paddy did a navigation course in the Pentlands when 7 months pregnant. The (stand-in) instructor's face was a picture...

For posterity - ARobWife suffered from an incredibly bad back and had to give up cycling something like 3-4 months in. She's pretty frustrated about it, but bear in mind she does not have a sit up and beg type bike so she'd possibly be struggling on drop bars by now (6-7 months).

She's still walking a lot, in fact she's out in the pentland hills as I type.

Yeah, I had to stop at 4 mo because my hips were in pain, I couldn't be confident that when I put my foot down that my leg wouldn't collapse.

My partner made it to 8 months - though she kept coming home and complaining that folk on road bikes were faster than her (she rides a 9-speed mtb) and that her knees kept hitting her bump when she tried to go faster.

Actually this was me that started the thread. I managed to cycle until about 6 months but then the baby was pressing too hard on my diaphragm and i was getting really breathless. It was such a shame as I also had plantar fasciitis and could barely walk so lost my only mode of transport other than the car.

If I'd had a sit up and beg bike I'd have cycled until the end if I could.
