My sloth paid off this morning, by the time I got my self together the rain had virtually stopped. By the time I was on the road it was only spray I had to deal with.

I'm still debating it tbh, the wind coming back last night was too strong for me and I got totally drenched heading over to GamesHub after work.
*Sigh* I suppose I should probably just woman up and do it lol.

Woman up?!?! You are not a man?? I really need to meet more CCEers in person!

Well I WAS going to cycle this morning but Josie showed me the Forth Road Bridge website with the wind graph rooted firmly in the graphs penthouse!! I walked to the bus stop in a lull, no cloud and little wind, thinking I could have done this! 10 mins later as the bus arrived it was thoroughly hoseing it down in large skip fulls and the wind was buffeting the bus shelter!! The bus driver looked at me in shock when I said I normally cycle to work, but was glad I didn't!

Wind was really bad for me on the way home last night, maybe it was raining, don't know, was concentrating too hard on staying upright, and trying to predict which way the wind was going to throw me!

I'll be happier when we're back onto the Ice thread....

Methinks not changing into my shorts at Pete's was a mistake. I am one of the Soggybottom Boys, most assuredly.

Heading west, the last two morning commutes have been among the least pleasant ever...I'd rather have the ice, than that headwind!

So long as the FRB doesn't close I'll be fine!

    EDIT:

Hmm thought the wind was light this morning at 06.45 on the bridge:

Glad I didn't need to cross back around 1.30 when it gusted to over 70mph!! Looks to be ~40mph or below and dropping.

Just noticed an unusual phenomenon. From my office window, I can see low, grey clouds whipping along in the wind. But above me, there are wisps of high, white clouds that seem to be stationary.

I overheard someone saying week before last that the snow was coming from one direction and the wind was blowing the other.

    True story

@Andy, it was. The cold wind chilling Britain was from Scandinavia. There was also a warm front bringing rain from the SW. As the rain hit the cold air it froze. I've had conversations on Twitter with the Scottish Beeb weather guys about wind from NE but rain clouds moving in from the west.

Was that what caused that almighty hail shower on Monday night?

    Wet returns.

    Wind mostly absent.

Supposed to be fine after lunch, with the homeward wind coming from the North...
