Dave, the Toplight was exactly the one I was looking at (and thinking of similar bodge stylee making a mount off the mudguard)

WC, I would suggest the 3N80 as it has the disk mount so you can move the wheel across to the cotic, which is what I have at the moment. The discs are not that much, link above. I have the 60lux light and its way brighter than the 30lux light. I feel I need it as I ride home through woods and in near darkness the extra brightness helps.
I wish I'd got the Topline light now as the Standlite doesn't appear as bright.
Steveo is right for power, I have had the 60 and 30 lux front lights on my bike with the rear light, and didn't see any visible drop in output. I have an overvoltage which came with the 60lux front light I'm thinking of using to power my phone or other usb items through a voltage regulator too. May need Steveo to suggest that site with PSU self built circits again.

If yout saddlebag is likely to interfere with a seatpost-mounted light and you don't have a rack just get the B&M Seculite Plus, which fits right into the hole at the rear of your Vavert mudguards which currently holds the reflector and also leaves change from £20.
Or bodge something to the seat stays and leave a flashing light on the carradice. The constant sway coupled with the flashes makes it quite eyecatching but a solid light on the bike still makes it easy to gauge distance.
As fate would have it, I've been pondering an upgrade of wee blue floofy's front end to disk/dynamo, thus giving me a wheel I can transfer to the Croix the day before doing any nocturnal Audax type things.
This htread is relevant to mah interests, as old lolcats would say.
