I must apologise for missing PY Feb. I was sure I had set an alarm earlier than my normal one, but it turns out I hadn't.

Must make more of an effort, it was a bootiful morning.

  3. After sitting up till after 1 (working on work stuff, bah!) and having a 9am conference call, there turned out to be next to no chance of me makign PY this morning. Who knows though, for the next one I might have some .cc/CCE cycle jerseys!

I'm sure if you turned up tomorrow there would be others there.

March is big enough for two PYs.

I'm going to be in town on Thursday morning, the 7th anyway, and will pop into Pete's for a coffee at 9am. If others are amenable, I'll turn up earlier.

Tempted to do one sometime but it does mean an 'extended' commute (by approx 100 miles) although with granny pass it won't cost any more than my time.

You'd be most welcome. It is really just a motley assortment of folk talking about bikes (and other stuff).

I've taken 7th as a days leave to do stuff in the afternoon, so works for me. I'll even try and remember to set an alarm this time.

7th works for me. Needs more notice than today I think - could the topic title be changed so it says PY 7th March for instance, so it's obvious? (Rinse and repeat as applicable)

  12. Hmmm. A day off work, I'll likely miss that one.

Today at PY Feb,I thought I would try the double espresso for two pounds. When it came I went for Excuse me Inordered the large espresso (similar to quote t beginningnof So I Married An Axe Murderer if you know that movie?). Yes, tht is the double espresso it is 35 'mls of coffee. What was the single like I wonder as the doppio was gone in one mouthful, which is not correct. I then spotted a valrhona chocolate finger that sweetened the deal. I have also been buzzing ever since. May struggle to sleep. More like medicine than coffee tho.

Just realised - might be coming back from Leeds/Leicester (6th) and might end up going via Newcastle if I miss last connections through to GLC or EDB.

Need to check on earliest train North from NCL, or get Megabus (arrives 01.40/ or via Galashiels arrives around 04.00) and overnight in EDB.

I'm going to pass. PY prices are too steep for my liking, and breakfast-commute-breakfast-commute-work-elevenses/lunch makes my energy levels go haywire.

  22. I'm not at work; it's supposed to be raining... heavily...; I have to be in Rosewell with my other half by 9.30. Yeah, it's unlikely!

In order to use up my annual leave, I have booked a week off beginning 18th March. I could do any day that week.

It always rains when magnatom comes to edinburgh - with one (significant) exception.

I may try and get an early train. I have cycled twice this week and want to rest before the audax on Sunday.

In recent months there has been discussion/confusion about PY days/dates - would have been simpler if it had been a leap year.

I decree that the next PY is Friday the 29th of March (2013).

So a fixed date for your diaries (no-one is obliged to turn up!)

So that's three weeks to save up for your coffee (optional) and bun (very optional).

It happens to be Good Friday, which means that some people will be on holiday and therefore more/less likely to attend.

It may be the first PY of the year where sitting outside is an option.

    Hello,

Before I head for pastures new, I am going to assure you that I will indeed attend this get together. I am aware that I have intimated I would attend previous meetings, and for one reason or another, have failed to do so. I look forward to putting some faces to names.

    Regards,

    Paul.
