Count me in too. Either Weds or Thurs isn't a problem though won't plan on hanging around much past 8 (one for early in, early out at work).

I much prefer the late-in, early-out approach to work

    I could do 28 March but I'm away for 4th April :-(

Where is this cafe? I only mention Thurs as Instography doesn't work Fridays.

Edit. Little to far out for me. Maybe for an after work meet up in the summer though...

Dave, I believe that Wood's Deli was this former grocer.

Not a huge amount of bike parking that I can see, though.

I can don27th but not 28th, can do 3rd or 4th early doors fine for me.

Parking limited to front where the hoops for tying horse are still in wall. Big windows to keep an eye on bikes

This is on the route of my "long commute" - I don't think I'd want to stop on my way out in the morning, but I could be interested in an afternoon get together later in the year.

1700 on some Wednesday night when the weather is less horrid then? The inevitable heavy traffic will of course not make a jot of difference to us other than providing a talking point as it crawls past ;-)

Many variables as usual. I will treat myself to stotts porridge in Wood's Deli tomorrow at 7.15am, will stay until 7.45 if no one turns up, will hang about til 8.15 if anyone else shows.

Gembo: I'm going to make a concerted effort to come along tomorrow morning and should be there from around the same sort of time.

BBC Weather tells me the morning should be clear of rain but if turns out wet, I'll be calling off as don't think a 'drowned rat' look is something people need to see over breakfast!

Ok will look out for concertina and will not wait for Brucie as he needs to be inthe office at a time that would necessitate him setting off before the cafe opened

Hmm, tomorrow is awkward, I expect to be back on the non-pedal powered bike :-/ (subject to the weather making that safe/sensible.. Sigh)
May drop by anyway, unless it's snowing(!)

Is it 0715 the cafe opens or is it earlier? :-)

Oh fer ..... pete's sake! Woke to white falling from the sky and a fresh couple of inches on the road :-<
All travel plans scuppered, see you chaps/chapesses another time, have a good morning!

Is it just me who's getting very tired of spring snow? :-s

Smudge, you're certainly not the only one fed up of this weather. I've only got a road bike with skinny tyres so would be daft to risk heading further up towards the hills.

No snow, they have changed opening hours to 8am but let me in, which is nice. I am sitting in the window waving to kaputnik

Did they let you in but not Kaptunik, Gembo?!

Walked to work this morning. Roads were soggy but thoroughly black, and everything's thawing out already - just couldn't see the clear roads from my flat before I made the decision not to cycle. I was slightly swayed by the fact I picked up my first pair of cycling shoes and cleats yesterday afternoon and didn't fancy testing the penguin walk to the bike shed in the snow laying around the complex.

Sorry I missed meeting you guys but trust there'll be other opportunities (next PY is this Friday, isn't it?).

A lot of the time I'd prefer this microsnow to rain, because you don't get wet. Coming down through Craiglockhart this morning I rode through a mini blizzard and started laughing.

@meep meep, no I was in first, on the wifi typing that there was no snow and kaputnik was cycling past wondering why the shutter was down on the door so I waved at him and he came in and I had three long black coffees (one free as first out the machine) an,d a porridge came to £4.79 which was good value. a long black is a black coffee with an espresso on top it is my new favourite.
