It seems the Warriston path has been done.

Not much else done though.
And why it's left to the public to pester for this kind of basic maintenance to be done I do not know...
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

East Craigs' paths are the same. I tweeted them last week, they came out and cleared the leaves from one stretch and ignored all the rest including the subway which periodically floods due to blocked drains.
The paths directly outside the primary school are now causing several kids to slip every day.
There's a steep slope at the Whitecraig end of the Esk path. In the past, I have nagged East Lothian Council, with good response. But I tend to just avoid it now and it doesn't seem to have been picked up as task to do annually.
As well as slippiness, the leaf mulch needs to be cleaned off bikes. Sometimes it gets so bad, the leaf mulch gets stuck in the gap between the guards and wheel and the bike slows to a halt.
On the other hand, the wee cul-de-sac where I live have been swept twice recently - possibly a neighbour complaining.
I reported the footpaths on Ravelston Dykes and they were swept clean by 20 men with brooms within a couple of days. Same courtesy not afforded to a core path though... :(
HOWEVER in a small win (hooray!) The ramp from Ravelston Dykes down to NEPN has been largely resurfaced today! I couldn't see the quality in the dark on the way home but oh goodness what an improvement. How long it will last is another question...
It hasn't been that long since that ramp was resurfaced, I think? It has rather vigorous roots under it. I always push the Brompton up it, I don't have low enough gears. I might try to cycle if the surface is smoother.
