I can't guarantee such a stellar guest list, but still I'd be delighted to see anyone passing 31 Lasswade Road at 18h00 on Friday for a spot of guttural McDoggerel.

That link is just for Masons. Apt though for burns was in the craft.
I once went to a ceilidh at the Scottish Office in Londn - Dover House with its rope in the stairs for Byron to haul himself up.
Anyway the under Secretary of State for Scotland (ie our top civil servant) remarked that Mrs Garto and I must have danced the Strip The Willow many times together. Strangely it was our first time. But due to being pished I insisted on going for the reverse interlock grip for the spinning which made us look like pros in Sir Russell's eyes. I was merely trying to stay vertical.

I have supplied cheese and cider tho these may justifiably be consumed by the performer and or spouse as what we theatricals call The Rider.

I am just negotiating a repeat performance of my famous Franco-Caledonian version of Burns' Tam O'Shanter. I'll be oot the country on the 25th this year before burning my passport on my return.

Hamish Henderson's The Speakin Hert which I desperately want to render into Doric. 'Gid' instead of 'gaed', 'gang' instead of 'gae', 'spikkin hairt' in place of 'speaking hert' and so on.
