Shall I book us a big table then?

Happy to go elsewhere as well. But we need a decision.

Yes please. You could ask for the private room? (On right as you go in; worked great last time.)

how many people do i need to say to get the private room? shall I say 10?

in the past have also had the big round table on the left as you go in, which is pretty good too.

In my diary, more importantly its in Mrs Steveo's diary as a little heads up that she'll be on bed time duty.

Do you know if an external cake can be brought to this establishment? I can offer to make a birthday cake unless you already have plans for that (also I don't make fancy fondant cakes, sorry)

All welcome - lurkers, that means you!

We are meeting here from 7pm. There are sheffield stands and a Just Eat Cycles hire point across the road (streetview pictures predate cycle hire scheme).

Anyone getting the bus should probably aim for South Clerk Street - lots of bus routes converge there.

If you haven't been before, the layout of Summerhall is a bit odd. You have to go through the main doors, past the reception and out into the courtyard - the Royal Dick pub is in front of you.

Thats a shame, Ian was looking for opinions on a Cairngorm bikepacking route. Not sure if my "do not take a bike anywhere near them" is that balanced!

I looked at McR's double loop. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who'd, say, hesitated to complete the Capital Trail for any reason.

The Monadh Ruadh are unforgiving at times.

The lairig an laoigh isn't exactly the most hospitable place either.

Edit: Now i just look silly, using your fancy Teuchter language to confuse a lowlander.

Aye, I once had to run the Lairig an Laoigh as a teenager to call the mountain rescue from Glen Derry.

The Fords of A'an are a long way from the nearest plate of chips.

    Fords of A'an

Fords is a fairly charitable description at that.
