Coverage also on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra (snappy title, that!). Didn't realise that, and is a bit easier on bandwidth than the ITV feed.

ahh, weird, sorry, just looked at the box on the right of the 5live page and assumed it was every day. But then again we all know the pecking order of sport.
And don't they have radio 4 lw for that kind of thing, and now you mention it, isn't there also a DAB stream of R4LW.

I'm really enjoying what I've seen of the Tour so far this year (mainly ITV4's highlights shows, with a little bit of recorded Eurosport watched "as live").
I have a nagging feeling that I shouldn't get such enjoyment from other people's suffering, but I do. There seems to be a close correlation between exciting stages and crashes, but I haven't quite worked out whether the crashes cause the stage to be exciting or the fact that the stage has an exciting parcours makes the peloton more nervous and therefore leads to more crashes. Probably a bit of both...

Someone asked a while back about where may be showing the Tour de France.
I was in Staggs (aka The Volunteer Arms, behind Brunton Threatre) in Musselburgh last night sampling some of their excellent ale and was pleased to find ITV4's highlights show was on their massive plasma screen above the bar. They often had Eurosport's live coverage on in the afternoon last year. If not I'm sure they'd put it on if asked (and there wasn't any 'important' football on - unlikely at this time of year)
It's a bar that does attract cyclists partially perhaps because you can wheel your bike through to the back for parking.Posted 12 years ago # -

Ah, George Hincapie's remarkable varicose veins. They really are a sight to behold.
However, other pro cyclists aren't similarly afflicted, so do you think they are due to cycling or just something that Hincapie is genetically pre-disposed to?
