East Lothian were surprisingly willing to change bollard spacings on NCN 76 near Dunbar when I asked them to. Not that it takes much willingness to be "surprisingly willing"...
Nice desire line through the grass there.

That path is horribly narrow. Must be due an upgrade to a decent 3 metres width, plus a 0.5m buffer because of the wall ???

Should be plenty of upgrades to FCP (like even a footpath/pavement), but lots of it - and money needed for dual carriageways...
Actual useful bollards on the WoL off Coburg St:
@winpig Agreed! Pity it took so many years to get done. AS a result, there's now that lovely desire line which goes across the grass and through the trees which was created by those who found the route across the setts blocked by an ever-increasing number of cars using Coalie Park as free off-street parking.
This bollard here is now rolling slowly down the pavement of Minto Street.
Hearing from Cllr Brown that the bollards at South Gyle Station has been replaced with new ones.
Anyone been past who can report if it is any easier to get through than it was before? The 'dropped' kerbs still had a kick to them and the bollards not well aligned.

Yep. As expected, still a complete guddle of bollards and badly dropped kerbs.
A missed opportunity to improve it. Let's hope the WEATN has a better go at giving a clear run through for people on bikes or prams etc.
It was sort of in my mind as I went through there the other day that I had taken a straight line between dropped kerbs that I had not taken previously and wondered how I had missed it before.
Now explained. Had I not been watching pedestrians I would probably have noticed the fresh tar.
Set of shiny new bollards gone up on the south side of Lochrin Basin, i.e. the cut-through to Lochrin Place. They actually don't stand out at all against the grey paving so be careful. Spacing is a bit tight too, I wouldn't count on a trailer getting through. This is where the fabled Canal-Meadows route was going to be, remember. Sigh.
The approach to Lochrin Place is hideous. A blind corner, steps to catch the unwary cyclist and that obstacle course round the back of Akva, which is like crazy golf. Now they've added stealth bollards.
Annoying bollards at the entrance to Saughton Park trapped my trailer today.

It's a shame that the new bollards on the cycle path through Saughton Park are too narrow for a bike trailer. Of course I could go round the side but one makes assumptions about active travel design... @SaughtonFriends @CyclingEdin @SustransScot @edinhelp @SpokesLothian

The barrier at Dryden was taken out ("temporarily") for London-Edinburgh-London three years ago.
One year ago a community police officer from south Edinburgh told me they were really glad that barrier was there, as otherwise the police would be constantly dealing with folk riding motorbikes on the Gilmerton-Shawfair path.
I concluded that motorbike issues, whilst obviously an issue, aren't as bad as often assumed. I also kept schtum about the barrier having been removed.
