"relaunch"?

Powerful article.

It would be interesting if the EEN turned out to have a more positive editorial slant, wouldn't it?
You have to admit: taking a life while driving uninsured and unlicenced and fleeing the scene, then coming back and taking another life - it's hard to see how anything other than a very long sentence could be justified for Gary McCourt.

Perhaps the previous conviction may not carry much weight, but I suspect the palpable hurt and loss, eloquently expressed in this article will resonate with many.

Precisely why I deleted the above post - figured people would think I didn't care about the personal. Too emotive a subject to be 'pragmatic' about.

First of all in the article:
...McCourt, 49, of Niddrie Mill Avenue...Then later on in the same article:
...Gary McCourt, of Magdalene Drive...If this is the quality of the journalism at the EEN relaunch, goodness knows what will follow...

Given the sentence applied to Carl Baxter, I doubt he'll be given an exemplary sentence after all the horse trading has gone on.
Okay, Baxter hadn't killed twice as McCourt has, but he did use his vehicle as a weapon in a premeditated attack.
