Think I've cycled into work every day throughout winter, even when the snow was really bad just jumped onto the MTB instead of the roadie.

Every time I thought the weather might be too bad I considered the alternative of stumbling down the road to the bus stop in work shoes and suit, waiting ages for a bus to arrive then sitting freezing/damp next to 50 or so other miserable sods for 40 minutes.

That thought alone made me put on appropriate cycling gear, jump on the bike and within 5 minutes I've a smile on my face as a cycle past the aforementioned bus stop with 50 odd cold/damp miserable sods waiting for the depressing journey into work.
