Spotted a public notice this morning advising that the 'narrow' stretch of path above the A9 between the flyover at the top of the hill, down to where it merges beside the main road is to be closed from Thursday 9th May for 6 weeks. A diversion through Dalmeny Estate will operate over this period. Hopefully the improved path will mean bikes/ pedestrians can safely pass each other.

I normally go through Dalmeny anyway - it's prettier, even if the coast path is a wee bit rough. And there are some fun (and mercifully short) hills to practice on :)
Good to see that they're doing something with the path, hopefully wider, and less bumpy.
