The Sciennes posters (which were there with the permission of the head teacher) have been taken down on the grounds that it's a political event - it's amazing how much trouble one person with a bee in their bonnet can make...

In other news I flyered a grand total of 8 bikes in Dumfries this afternoon... did consider flyering all the parked cars with bike racks on them instead but decided against

@CyclingEdin @alinver @AndrewDBurns Seems like a private matter for @SciennesPS They already organise a regular "Pedal on School" from KB.

"Lets [sic] keep political activities away from schools"

I hope they never find out about Royal Mile Primary. There's an entire parliament stuffed with politics barely fifty metres away from it.

Yeah that is a corrupting influence, better shut the school.

I'm just disappointed that CEC backed the view of a lone Twitterer rather than the judgement of the school.

There was a very friendly PoPper at the top of MMW this morning offering PoP flyers. We had a wee chat while the light was red. Someone here?

They're "worried Muppet features would run to the chip wrapper" - maybe it would be good if he could (before Sunday): all publicity's good publicity, right?

@SRD: You around for me to pick up lots of A5 fliers? I'll try to pop in about 2, but if you're away could you leave them outside your door? :D Thanks!

I did a few more handlebar flyers in S Gyle/Ed Park area today. I wanted to do Aegon but the fact that the bike parking is in a security camera riddled multi-storey made me feel like I shouldn't be there, and I chickened out (sorry). Is there anyone able to do it? I think there are quite a few bikes there so would be worth it. I have spare fliers!

Done some chalking, too, and will do some more later.

I was going to do Haymarket again tomorrow afternoon, but I've just realised that I have to go to Waverley... are the racks there being done? If not, I will see what I can do (if I can find them - I believe there are some tucked away somewhere?)

Waverley racks are at the back near the walkway to Calton Road. About 120 spaces and 100ish bikes?

Ah, every day I look at the forecast it changes drastically, on Tuesday it was a sun, on Wednesday heavy rain, now it's a cloud - can't the met-office put confidence intervals on their estimates?

    They'd need to have 'confidence'!

    Good thinking SRD :D

The chalk didn't last long. I wrote two messages - then it ran out. Maybe I should just write #POP2 ...

At least now we can just write "Sun" to conserve chalk, though it's all the same when it keeps raining.

    wingpig - good point.
@SRD: Any more chalk available? :D

    On the plus side:
    1. My poster on the canal is still up - but maybe this means nobody notices it?
    2. I'd say over 50% of people I speak to know what POP is now :) But I guess that means the bit of Edinburgh I'm doing is reaching saturation point!

Leamington / SMW were effectively chalked as I rode home this evening, but I think the showers around 7PM may have ruined all that good effort.
