It's all gone pear shaped, there has been a:

    • oil drought
    • revolution
    • plague
    • solar flares
    • zombies invasion

society as we know it has ground to a halt, there is nothing being delivered to supermarkets and looting has already started at the ASDA at the Jewel

    1. when do you bug out
    2. where do you go
    3. how do you get out of town (by bike)
    4. what route do you take and
    5. what do you take with you
    6. who do you take with you
    7. where have you arranged to meet them?

(it's Friday afternoon, too many people are talking about tennis or football, I have a headache and need cheering up)

Go read Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank. Although admittedly, the wikipedia plot summary bears no resemblence to what I recall from reading it many aeons ago.

OK so here is my plan (I have watched too much of the TV series Jericho)

    1. after packing of course (cycle home)
    2. to my folks house out in the country where I grew up (out past Linlithgow) as I have a good knowledge of the area and the farms, roads, rivers and most importantly the fresh water well
    3. canal (armed)
    4. canal then back roads
    5. weapons (reenactor) water
    6. wife and kiddie, sister and any reenactors I can round up (make a militia)
    7. Canal at Ratho

My husband has all Zombiegeddon eventualities meticulously
planned out. I intend just to leave it all in his capable hands.

    Funnily enough...

Well it's not really an answer to the question(s)

Decided to abandon today's bike tour.

Getting a £3 day ticket and bus hopping to unknown 'destinations'.

First Bus are slashing their day ticket to £2 for the Trades, you could get to the caravan park at Seton Sands that is a very unknown destination - tho I advise plannd exit routes kept in clear sight at all times.
