'Boy cyclist injured' in crash with crane in Aberdeen

Very sad. I know this stretch of road very well. It's very busy and traffic really speeds along. It's not the kind of place I would ever expect (or encourage) an eight year old kid to be cycling. I wonder if he was trying to cross the road rather than cycle along it?

I was wondering the same thing - I think it's most likely he was crossing. Really very very sad. Thoguhts with the family.
