Cyclist down this morning, around 07:50, on Clermiston Drive, at the crossroads where Clermiston Crescent and Parkgrove Terrace is. Another cyclist (potentially 2) was there in attendance, plus two females, one of whom was wailing in tears (assumed to be car driver). Cyclist was lying flat on ground. I asked if everything was alright (before I'd seen him on the ground), and if they wanted any help, but they said no, so I decided to move along rather than stand around making things awkward.

Fingers crossed he's ok. Cyclist in attendance was in process of making a phone call, I assume for ambulance.

    Glad that cyclist is okay.

That junction is very dangerous, cars come up Parkgrove Terrace fast, and fairly invisible to traffic on Clermiston Drive. Also have had incidents of cars coming down Parkgrove Crescent in blinkered mode not stopping.

    +1 on cyclist being ok.

The entire length of Clermiston Drive isn't too good, tbh. At the top end, most of the roads joining the drive have their visibility seriously reduced by parked cars, and I've seen numerous cars having to pull out way across the road before they can see whether anyone is coming. In the dark, it's particularly bad. Therefore, I tend to approach each side road expecting a car is going to arrive and pull straight out, simply because it does happen a lot.

Not familiar with the area so I had a wee peek on streetview. What a nasty little junction, glad the cyclist got away without serious injury, I could see much worse happening there.

Interesting that there's a STOP line for cars coming up Parkgrove Terrace but only GIVE WAY for cars coming down Clermiston Crescent, according to G Maps. That might suggest a central awareness that cars tend to jump the junction.
