Paralympic silver medallist Karen Darke hurt in crash

Inverness-based Paralympic cyclist Karen Darke is recovering in hospital after a crash in Cumbria.

Darke, who won silver in the women's H1-2 time trial at London 2012, was on a training run near Penrith last Tuesday when she in collision with [a] car.

    and then...

it was understood that her low-slung hand-cycle was hit from behind and the car went over one side of her machine.

So I think it would more accurately be reported as being "rear-ended and driven-over", rather than "in collision with a car". Or if the BBC insist on it being even more massive "being collided with by a car"?

A speedy recovery I wish her.

    Now edited to:

Just one step further to get the report amended to include agency, for at the moment the "hammer" did the hitting rather than the wielder of the hammer...

So someone either noticed, or responded in a timely fashion to a complaint.

By "massive" I meant "passive". Of course.
