Wanted - Roofrack/bikerack to borrow for a week in July.

    Wanted - Roofrack Footpacks 754 plus fitting kit 1084 for 2 weeks in July.

    I know its remote that anyone even knows their own roofrack model but I have a roofrack from when we had our old car and would like to borrow the adapters for our current replacement car. Its for a Ford Ka and I need the footpacks 754 (currently ~£74 here eek!! Also need the Fitting kit 1084 here for another ~£35

    I don't want to spend another hundred quid on these as I only plan to keep the car for another year.

    Alternatively, anyone have a rear bike rack I could borrow please? Its only for my Carbon bike so it'll be light and strapped to the car for the ride down and back.

    Depending on the dates, my rear rack might be available. The only other person I know with a carbon bike was unwilling to have it on a roof rack because it depends on squeezing the down tube.

    I have a bikerack that you could borrow. You'd have to pick it up/drop it off though. It's quite a good one but it's been a long time since I used it - we stick the bikes in the boot.

    Hi DaveC - we've got a rear rack that you can borrow (assuming I can find all the bits - it hasn't seen the light of day for several years). If you fancy it then let me know and I will scour the shed tonight and see if it is all there.

    Depends which weeks in July, but I've a basic Revolution tailgate rack which will take 3 bikes and doesn't clamp too hard on the top tube.

    Many thanks for the many kind offers. As Instography is closest to me I shall accept his very kind offer. Insto, I recall your rack from that time you gave me a lift home that time, many thanks. I'll give you a call in a day or so to pop by and see if it fits on our we car. If it does I'll collect a day before we head off so you are not left without.

    But which weeks do you want it? I've already promised it to a colleague at work for hols. I'll need to check they don't clash.
