This Sunday LB is going down en masse (!) to demo bikes on the prom between 12 and 3. One of many events on for last day of Edinburgh Festival of Cycling.

Cafe there was expanded by Mark (from US) and Lena (from Russia).

Was quite surprised to find it is now under new management. Sure cyclists will wish the previous owners all the best and can get to know the new owners and eat and review the cakes and bacon rolls (A decent veggie alternative is always nice too).

If you're passing drop in to check it out. They have stack of EdfOc leafets as well now.

Always felt this place should do a roaring trade summer weekends but it has an identity crisis (looks like a big electricity sub-station) and to be brutally honest in my experience the tea that used to be served up there was not exactly <cough> lovingly crafted from fine ingredients. Maybe things will improve. I'll try it on Sunday; I'm due to do a Buzz Lightyear run out East* first thing, but if the weather is kind and I don't need a hot bath after, I'll spin down and road test a cuppa...

*to Longniddry...and beyond!. I'll get my coat...

@laidback I think the edfoc site says the ride starts at 10.30. Is that okay or am I getting confused. BTW I hope I didn't confuse you when I said hi near to the Bicycle Works.

Nice to meet Laidback and others today. Thanks for the opportunity to take a trike for a spin. The sudden torrential downpour and the attempted punishment pass by a West Highland Terrier aside, it was a fun experience that stretched a few (of my many) unused muscles.

amir - I'm always confused as everyone knows me and I sometimes don't realise till I'm past who it was. Sorry if I didn't seem switched on.

Its_Me_Knees - thanks for looking in. I reckon we get the prize for one of the more obscure events in this year EdFoC programme. We did however have one hiree from Singapore. Was really nice she cam along and explored the routes with us and tried our bikes. Thanks to all that came along.
