It'll be frames custom-grown from structural proteins next, or perhaps chitin.

    Steel is timeless...

    Until it rusts.

Steel? Hah! You young guns don't know how lucky you are. Back in my day we had to walk on our hands to the local bronze mine and dig a hole with a spoon to extract the ore. Next we refined it by burning our own skin as fuel and using our hands as the molten metal trough. We brazed the tubes using metal extracted from our own dental fillings. Those bronze frames were built to last, unlike these silly 'aero' steel frames you get nowadays!

On a slightly more serious note I predict aerogels will at some point be used to build frames. As well as making carbon fibre look like Neutronium (look it up!) they also make your bike transparent and thus less likely to be stolen - or more likely to get lost, depending on your perspective.

    I increasingly wear bamboo: https://bambooclothing.co.uk/

Their original fitted boxers are my cycling underwear of choice and amazing classic bamboo socks my default socks.

Oh, if anyone places an order, feel free to mention that I recommended them to you - there is a box at check-out. My email is my username with "_uk@yahoo.co.uk" appended!

I hope I'm not the only person who thought 'is that bamboo in your boxers, or are you just pleased to see me?'

@allebong Finally the "bikes are invisible" excuse comes one step closer to the truth!

Disappointed that said underwear does not appear to be constructed in the Japenese bamboo armour style.

Also, going by the models they use I'm not sure I have the physique for making the jump to bamboo pants.
