This cover story from the Christian Science Monitor* is also very interesting - discussion of many of the cities mentioned in the report above.
*for those not familiar with it, the CSM was for years a bastion of liberal reporting in the US. My folks used to subscribe to the CSM weekly and the Guardian weekly. Not sure how they've fared with shifts to on-line and divides in US politics.
