  1. Hey, does anyone know of a reliable place to find pond skaters in the city? I've seen them down the Figgy, and will be going to try and see if there are any just now (might not be the time of year fo them of course).

(had a query from someone from the One Show who stumbled across my Edinburgh Wildlife website, they're filming in Edinburgh next week for a science piece involving surface tension, and figured they could film some pond skaters as examples - so thought I'd find some out and photograph and film them to see if it would work for them).

"canal" at Cammo? (I'm thinking you want some still, easily accessible water, but quite enclosed). Not sure how overgrown that is now though.

There were quite a few at Inveresk Lodge Garden last week. Lots of other wildlife there too if you're patient.

    Cheers

  4. Ooh, that looks a nice place, and not a far cycle away from me - will definitely have to pop by.
