Edinburgh busses, trams held up as example to Glasgow

    They're right about the buses I'd say. The Edinburgh trams have yet to prove themselves. But Glasgow has lots of disused railway tunnels; they could easily have extended the Underground network at any time in the past 100 years. Proposals surface now and then, but nothing ever gets done.

    (And of course we know a far cheaper way of massively improving the ability of the population to get about the city quickly and cheaply and pleasantly, don't we.)
