Was at bottom of my garden with hand scythe, slashing weeds when two tweenage girls cycled by on steepish bit of the WoL path, screaming with glee. Front one said to her pal - why haven't we done this before, it's great fun?

At least they were tweenagers. Some people get to adulthood without ever having done that. Judging by the reclamation-by-undergrowth of the jumpy-lumpy woodland bike track in my parents' village the local kids are no longer wheeeing round it like I did when I was small.
