I've still got a Pakboat - 12ft - weighs under 30lb and fits in a kitbag to sling over your shoulder when riding the Brompton.
Tumblehome gives a slightly broader beam low down at waterline and resists careening/capsize fairly well albeit a bit unnerving - with my weight the freeboard is a bit tight.
Takes about 15-20 min to thread the frame in to the skin and with the bigger Pakboats you can tweak the rocker for flat or whitewater by the way you load it - because the design flexes like a trad canoe it is reputed to be better to handle in rough water and rated to Cat 3 IIRC (think I'd bottle out before then)
