It's Quentin and his "the only way to get anywhere is to drive" mob that have killed high streets. What makes them think they are best placed to dispense advice about how to save them?

(Quentin Wilson's) view was that we have built a world around the car and it's too late to change.
We've built our world around the horse and cart and it's too late to change to canals/railways/velocipedes/charabancs/etc.

That's the problem with people like QW and many politicians they only believe in evolution ("progress").
We've had the velocipede era, now we are in the motor age.
Perhaps that's the equivalent of when dinosaurs ruled the earth?
