Most adults don't exercise enough, research finds.

Most adults in England are risking their health by failing to get enough exercise, research suggests.
A University of Bristol-led study found 80% failed to meet the government target of taking moderate exercise at least 12 times in a four-week period.
Better-off and better-educated adults were most likely to exercise, while the poorer and least educated were most likely to be inactive.

The study applies to England, but I doubt the results would be significantly different in the rest of the UK.

Aye, I saw this and was thinking that Scotland is probably much worse! We've got worse obesity rates...

Reviving old thread because later ones usually relate to obesity.

However, for people able to exercise, the recommendation remained that you should aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise a week, Giblin said.

Sounds like a 5 day 15 min cycle commute.

Presume “moderate intensity exercise“ depends, to some extent, on terrain and how fast you choose to go(?).
