Very tragic - I hope the girl makes a good recovery (and has medical insurance).
Interesting to see how comprehensively this was reported. And that the comments are not anti-cyclsit like I suspect they might have been if there were to be reported in the EEN.

The Daily Wail covered this story initially with a headline of, "British tourists loses leg as taxi tries to avoid cyclist."
Their reporting of it was full of quite obvious attempts to avoid the inconvenient facts coming from the witnesses. Overnight the headline changed to, "... as taxi fights with cyclist."

seems the driver is no angel either!
